This is a sunflower from my sunflower garden. Today I worked for an hour, weeding out a lot of the plants that were choking some of the smaller sunflowers. It has been a long time since I gardened, but it felt good to be in touch with the earth again. Lately, I have been filling my home with houseplants — majesty palms, sad aloe vera that I rescued from the grocery store bottom shelf, many succulents, and dragon tree. It feels nice to have a space to watch things grow.
